Dr. Olaitan Olusegun

Dr Olaitan Oluwaseyi OLUSEGUN, is a senior lecturer at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. She is an Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx) Visiting Fellow at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights, University of Oxford. She is co-author of a book titled
‘Legal Prescriptions for Medical Practitioners: A Handbook of Medico-Legal Issues and Rights
Protection’ which was published in 2023.
Her research interests include medical law, health rights and child rights, with several articles published in both national and international peer-reviewed journals, which address these issues.
Dr Olusegun is currently the Chairperson, Board of Trustees, Mordecai Care Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation in Nigeria which focuses on empowering women, rescuing orphansand vulnerable children and campaigning against gender-based violence.
Dr Olusegun is a member of the Law and Society Association (LSA) United States, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT).
